These job openings are not restricted to US citizens or permanent residents. Non-citizens and non-residents, however, must show proof of eligibility to work (such as an approved OPT visa), prior to the beginning of employment.  Proof of eligibility to work is needed only from the candidate(s) whom we decide to hire.  All of our job offers are made contingent upon the successful applicant being authorized to work in the United States (U.S.).  At the time of the job offer, if the successful applicant does not have authorization to work in the U.S., that person will need to advise the department how authorization will be obtained.  If the applicant needs Missouri University of Science and Technology to sponsor the applicant for a work visa (such as an H-1B) the applicant will need to inform the department immediately.

We are required by State law to use the E-Verify system.  We will use the E-verify system only after a final selection has been made and we are processing that person for employment. Only the selected candidate or candidates will be subject to the E-verify system.
