Resources to Help You Succeed

Calendars, maps, courses, deadlines and people to contact

Check the campus calendar for meetings, speakers, concerts, or movies planned for the week, month or semester. The academic calendar lets you know when classes begin, when holidays and breaks are scheduled, and the dates of final exams and commencement. The course catalog lists all courses available in each area of study, identifies the department faculty, defines the requirements for the degree or for a minor and provides a sample course of study for each year of college.

Print or download the Missouri S&T campus map or check the site for detailed directions to campus. Access the full Missouri S&T directory to locate a student, faculty or staff member or logon to Miner Mail to access your campus email.

You can look for on and off-campus employment as well as co-ops and internship programs with companies across the country.

Academic Support

The most important key to your academic success is asking for help when you need it so take advantage of Missouri S&T's many programs and services:

The Writing Center offers the free assistance of tutors from all majors who help you as you draft any writing assignment, whether it be a lab report, a history paper, or a graduate thesis. Another source of tutoring is the Learning Enhancement Across Disciplines (LEAD) Program where expert instructors hold study sessions for introductory courses. Check and see if one or more of your classes have a learning center this semester

The Minority Engineering Program has provided academic, social and financial support for nearly 30 years to African American, Native American and Hispanic American students who are interested in pursuing an engineering degree. While only 23 percent of the student body is female, women on campus are extremely successful and involved. Take a look at some great resources for women at Missouri S&T.

The Curtis Laws Wilson Library and the electronic reserves are obvious resources and the Microsoft E-Learning Library (MELL) is widely used as well along with two primary electronic classroom tools:  Canvas, and BrainTrax.

Missouri S&T is committed to providing quality education for all individuals. If you have a permanent or temporary disabling condition that may require special attention or services, please contact Missouri S&T Disability Support Services.
