Missouri S&T Mathematics and Statistics Graduate Recognized

Waynesville, MO  Edward Starks has been recognized as an outstanding Beginning Teacher at the Missouri Association of Colleges for Teacher Education conference on Friday, April 20th.  Edward is a 2001 graduate of Missouri S&T, when he earned his BS in Applied Mathematics.  He is currently employed as a mathematics teacher at Waynesville High School.   

Missouri S&T Team Wins Missouri Collegiate Mathematics Competition 

Point Lookout, Missouri.  The Missouri University of Science and Technology Team A consisting of Aaron Goldsmith, Douglas Mallory, and Jon Reinagel (pictured below) won the 2007 Missouri Collegiate Mathematics Competition held at the College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri on March 29 - 30.  The Missouri S&T team, coached by Dr. David Grow, scored 87 out of a possible 100 points, edging out the second place Truman State University Team A and Washington University Teams A and B, who tied for third place.  Thirty three teams and 91 students from Missouri colleges and universities participated in the contest.
